cleaning wallet

I have a sorta weird question, but I thought you girls might have an answer. I have a Kennenth Cole Reaction wallet that I absolutely adore. It's about 2 years old, though, and really grimey looking. I am trying to figure out how to wash it. It is light colored, a bright blue/white/pink striped deal. It has the typical dirt, etc on it. I am thinking of using a toothbrush, but I don't want the soap to take the color out. Any ideas? Even any home made soap ideas for it?
