my first post yay

Well, my sister's birthday is on Wednesday, so I decided to make something to send her. I just kind of found out about ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), which are little cards artists design to trade with other artists. ANYWAY, you can use playing cards as the base of ATCs, so I just bought some...and I decided to also use the cards for my sister's birthday majig.




playing cards: check! (I decided to use the 2 and 9 cards because her birthday is February 9th.)


scissors: check!
paper clippings: check!
tiny green plastic swords: check!
lipgloss: check!

Anyway, I wanted to make a collage kind of thing...I have tons of magazine/newspaper/whatever clippings at home but I don't have any here in my dorm, so I had to improvise a little...I used clippings from a coupon book I got for free at the student union! haha.


Here's the lineup. The lighting isn't very good in this picture, I took it with my snazzy $20 digital camera.


Here's the robotic swordsman. I really like this one. I clipped the robot and the horoscope from the coupon book, and the sword I stole from the cafeteria.


I don't like this one. Actually, I think I hate it. The t-shirt is a paper clipping, and it had text on it, so I cut out the center, and then it just went downhill from there. I'm pressed for time as it is so I can't fix it. sigh. It's ok, at least it's shiny. ooooooh shiny.


And here's the queen. The car and the phrase "Geek on Wheels" are from the coupon book. I really like this one, it reminds me of Mardi Gras for some reason. I can't decide if I like this one or the robot better.
