craftgrrl | yay for the days when I had time to work with clay....

For some reason I was thinking about a ceramic piece that I made during my junior year of high school (2000-2001). It won a Scholastic Art Award, and I was wondering if they still had a link to it on their site. They did! I am still quite proud of it, here is a picture:

Not the greatest picture in the world but I got it from the Scholastic Art Awards page and it's the only one I have (I'm away at college, it's four hours away at my house). You can't tell scale at all in the picture, but the pot is actually about a foot tall. I made the actual pot and then I made a lot of snakes and put them all over it. Then I glazed the whole thing with about four different colors. The lid is my favorite part, but unfortunately it got broken along with a few of the snakes when they shipped it back to me after the award ceremony in Washington DC.

I really wanted to do something with it after I first made it, but right now it's sitting at my house collecting dust. I thought about putting a plant in it, but I really want to use the lid in some way if possible. Any ideas?
