busy like a bee

Just a little bit of what I've been up to lately:



It's been chilly here lately, so I whipped up a pair gloves for my wait each morning for the bus:



I added the bee because a) I love 'em, and b) it lets me know which one is the left one when I'm pulling them on in a hurry. It's a pin so I can change it out if I feel like it.

After my ma saw a couple of pairs of my gloves, she wanted a pair, so I made her an "IOU" card to go in with her birthday present for a customized pair--whatever design she desires:



I don't think the 'glove' part even mattered--she was busy squealing a full two minutes over the picture. Moms! ;)

One of our bosses had her last day Friday, so I sat in front of reality tee-vee for a couple of hours Thursday night and whipped up some flower pens for her:

After seeing these, I'm already getting co-worker orders for Mother's Day, which is awesome. Yay for commerce!

As a reward (and because there was a whoppin' sale) for my birthday yesterday, I went a little nuts at JoAnn's and got all of this stuff for a mere $50! Damn, am I going to be dangerous:
