i'm not sure how many of you are into scrapbooking but you are my craft answer kings + queens = )

i'm making a book using this tutorial i got from getcrafty years ago. to make the cover it is suggested that one uses cardboard. i'm using 12x12 paper, i don't have cardboard that size and would use/buy folders if the ugly lines wouldn't show up. could i just use cardstock and call it a day?
