Well, I didn't exactly craft anything new (yet!), but my heart skipped a couple of beats when I found this in a thrift store. Since I know a lot of you are interested in sewing, and a lot of you are interested in vintage things, I just thought I'd share my elation (and maybe gloat a little).
Powder blue Singer 348 sewing machine, made in 1966.
FRONT

BACK

The pictures really don't do the colour of the machine any justice. It's a lovely light blue.
ATTACHMENTS

Note the original, hand-written sales receipt! Dated 31.12.66!
MANUAL

The pictures throughout are great! They show lovely little housewives sewing, then wearing their masterpieces as they host dinner parties and such! It's also in excellent condition.
Whoever owned it took care of it very, very lovingly. The engine is well-maintained, and the machine is in excellent running order. I did a few test different test stitches and stuff, and everything came up perfectly. It even has spare bobbins, feet and other attachments!
Best part? It was only $AU30! And even if the machine didn't work, it would have been worth it just for its colour and the pictures in the manual!
