Haven't posted in a while...
Mar. 9th, 2005 11:37 pmThought I'd share a cute story. In physics, we had to design a vehicle that was powered only by a mousetrap. My friend and I spent hours this past weekend working on ours, and it turned out pretty crude... covered in packing tape all over and constructed mainly out of popsicle sticks and CDs for wheels. But the interesting thing was that we used crochet needles to construct a lever on the little car :) It was cute. We also set the record of our class... Ours traveled 43 feet and 4 inches! :D Sadly, I have no pictures because our car is still at school, but maybe I can post some when we get to take it home.
Also, I've got a question. My fingernails are very short and stubby because I am in a habit of biting them. I'm hoping to grow them out healthily so I can do some interesting things with them. For now I'd like to maybe paint some neat designs on them just to discourage myself from biting them... and then later once they grow out I can progress to even better designs. Does anyone know of a site or some pictures or ideas of things I could put on my nails? I'm not very creative, but I'd like some bright, exciting ideas! :)
Chimes from a wind chime I made several years ago in a glassworks class I took.

A mole! I made her last year for Chemistry... Mole Day? ;) I hand stitched it because the fur was too hard to work with in the machine.
