So...because of this very community and www.craftster.org I've been trying to refocus onto being creative and crafty. Here are some of my projects!

My boyfriend is an Irish-American and is CRAZY for Irish anything. He wanted to decorate his apartment with Celtic knots and Irish symbols...so I bought him a hand-made wooden Irish cross and one of those ginormous Celtic knot tapestries for his walls. It actually looks really great. Anyway...we both aren't all up on the phony-balony V-day crap...so we had a quiet and simple dinner at his place. I did want to make him something. So I made him refridgerator magnets inspired by the glass marble magnets people have made. Well, instead of glass marbles I found this ultra-light, thin acrylic bubbles in the scrapbooking isle at Joann's. They are self-adhesive too! So I just printed out some Celtic knots, and stuck the bubbles over them, cut away the paper, stuck some felt on the back and hot-glued a magnet. I think they turned out awsome!

Yes, I know it is blury.

I started this mosaic well over a year ago...but I only now finished it (because of you guys). So, this is one of those cheap, particle board three legged decorative tables you can buy at walmart for $10. My friend gave it to me for free. I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of mirrored coasters for nearly nothing and smashed them with a hammer to make the shards for the martini glass. I bought the rest of the tiles off of ebay, including the black grout. I painted the table using plain old acrylic paint from walmart and made little random stripe patterns on the legs. I'm sorry everything is so blurry...but apparently my digital camera doesn't like really bright sunny days.

It is going to be a bar for when I have people over. I'll probably have to stabilize the legs a little better.

I also crochetted a little hat for myself...but I'll post those pics later. THANKS FOR ALL THE INSPIRATION!
