question: who here crochets and knits? which did you learn first? which do you find easier to do?

i've been knitting since i was six (only seriously for a few years though) and i'm just starting to try to teach myself how to crochet. so far, i'm not doing so well. a lot of my knitting friends said that they've found it difficult to crochet, too, but anyone i know who crocheted first and then learned to knit says that knitting is easy for them. has this happened with anyone else? what's the difference? i just thought it was really interesting.
