Crochet Hair Net Pattern
Mar. 17th, 2005 04:54 pmI just freehanded it, so I'll try explain what I did as best I can. [Note, this is really very simple, but I'm horrible at explaining things. I probably made it sound a lot more complicated then it actually is! It's really just a bunch of loops that are stitched to a straight line of loops at the top.]
Start with three or four crochet loops, then connect them so you have a tiny circle. After each single crochet, add a loop so that your circle slowly expands. I did three rows of this, then chained 6 loops, and single crocheted it to the next stitch on the circle. [You'll get a wavy looped pattern all the way around.] After I did a whole row of the loops, I chained four or five stitches and single crocheted them to the stitch at the very top of the loop. After I've connected all the tops, I single crocheted around the outside edge. Then I started on a row of loops made with 7 stitches, and connected it to every every fourth stitch on the edge. I connected those loops the same way I had the first loops, only with 8 loops between each connecting stitch. Single crocheted around that, then added a row of 15 stitch loops. and connected that finished row with 11 stitches, attached at the top stitch of the loop again. Repeated the single crochet around that border, then did a smaller row of loops with 10 stitches each, connected to every fifth stitch on the border. The last border connecting the tops of the loops was 9 stitches, then I single crocheted around that whole border three times and tied it all off.
And if anyone can make sense of my jumbled explanation and make it more simple, I'd be super greatful!
