craftgrrl | Fake flower ideas anyone?

Hello my dears.
Here's the deal. I've got a few bottles lying around (Jones soda, empty lava lamp, and other random things) that I never knew what to do with.
So I was recently turned onto www.tanashabitat.com where there's the COOLEST idea to use bottles as picture holders. (see here) I know it probably isn't the first time some one's heard of this, but it never occured to me.
So I've got a bunch of really neat black & white pictures that my mom took of old St. Petersburg when she was a wee one. And I'm going to put those in the bottles. But my problem is that the size of the pictures compared to the size of the bottles still leaves a lot of room where it seems something should go.
Okay, this is my point:
I want to put cutesy little fake flowers in the bottles, but not the real-looking ones they sell at craft stores and things. I want fake, cute, daisy looking things with long stems I can stick in the bottles.
I checked out the memories but the only ones that looked very promising no longer had working pictures.
Any ideas? please?
