recommended book & fo's!
Mar. 18th, 2005 10:37 pmhey everyone!
well, i posted a long while back about a certain stitch that i could not for the life of me figure out. everyone suggested that daisy tool, and i never went and bought one, because i wasn't quite sure if it was it, and thought that there must be a way to do it in just crochet!
well, i haven't tried it out myself yet, but this pattern i came across looks pretty close to what i (and some others who posted) wanted.. i found it in a VOGUE KNITTING book that focused on CROCHETED SCARVES. i picked it up at barnes & noble (it's $12.95, i believe) since i had a gift card, yada yada.. the book has some other cute patterns too.

the above photos are of the book & of the photo of the scarf. it's done pretty much in scallop stitch.
oh, and also so this isn't an informative post but a little show-off as well, some new finished items:

on left: "anti pom-pom hat" in lionbrand homespun yarn
on right: irish rose attached to two long chains and worn as a belt-accessory :)
