lip balm! :D
Dec. 12th, 2002 11:25 amI'm so excited.. in a few minutes, I'll be able to test my first batch of homemade lip balm. :D
Ingredients:
.25 ounces Beeswax
.33 ounces Shea Butter
.33 ounces Cocoa Butter
.40 ounces Sweet Almond Oil
2 Vitamin E oil capsules - 400 I.U
10 drops Peppermint eo
Instructions:
Weigh all ingredients, then melt the oils and Beeswax in microwave. Add the essential oil and pour into prepared containers. Let them cool, then cap. This quantity fills 4 (MMS) Lip Balm Tubes and 3 (MMS) lip balm jars, with just enough remaining for your anxious family members to sample.
The recipe I used came from here, but I used the teaspoon/tablespoon measurements found here (she also has lots of other crafty ideas). The first site, where I got the recipe from, is also where I bought half of my supplies (containers/lids, beeswax, shea butter & peppermint essential oil), because I'm vehicularly challenged & didn't want to ride the bus all over the earth trying to find stuff. Everything else I found at the grocery store. :)
