Few questions

Question 1. I bought ((this)) fabric today. Up until this point I've never worked with any type of fabric other than your standard cotton-y kind. Not quite sure how to describe this, but it's almost like plastic in a way. Polyester maybe, I'm not sure. It's very shiny too though you can't really tell from the picture. Would it be ok to use iron-on interfacing on fabric like that or would it melt it?
Question 2. I also bought ((these)) fat quarters today, fell in love with them as soon as I saw it. I honestly have no clue what I could make out of material this size besides a wallet...any ideas?
