Ear wire question...

Just a quick question that i'm not sure about.

I know different skin types and such may vary, but, is regular stainless steel (beading) wire safe to use to make earwires? I'm talking just the normal wire that you can purchase on a spool in the beading area of a craftstore.

Inquiring minds want to know....
