Stencil in shinning fabric

Hi!
I was just trying to do a stencil on a shinning fabric (don't know how to explain it better..it's like silk, you know??), whit fabric paint and the result wasn't good:( Seems like the paint doesn't stay homogenic (?)...
I still have the sticky paper on (that's how I do the stencils), and I'm going to give it another layer when it dries, to see if the paint stays on fine, this time. Do you have any suggestions besides this one??anyone tried this before?
