I am in need of help.
(obviously or else I wouldnt be posting)
I am trying to wax flowers. I have done it several times before, but mainly with dasies and roses. Never with lilacs.
Has anyone ever waxed lilas before?
They were awesome when first waxed, and then within 15 minutes they smelled funny and the blossoms turned all brown. For the most part anyway. There are still purple parts, but they are few and far between.
So to those who have done this before... what did i do wrong?
If i sealed the flowers first would it help? (hairspray, spray sealer?)
Did I cook the flowers?
Is this normal, and I might as well give up?
Suggestions are most welcome and GREATLY appreciated as I am bamboozled. (I really just wanted to use bamboozled in a sentence)
