hello, i'm melissa :) i've been in this community for a very long time, just never posted before.
i'm making honey cinnamon oatmeal soap for christmas gifts this year. last year i made apple cinnamon oatmeal. using ground cinnamon in soap works really well.. it gives the soap a really nice color and it smells so good! i use a melt and pour soap base. you can buy a 2 pound brick for 9 or 10 bucks at most craft stores, but around this time of year i can always find it on sale for 6 or 7 dollars. i was going to make green tea soap this year, but wasn't able to get the green tea oil in time so i decided to just make honey cinnamon oatmeal. i bought a honey scented oil made for soaps and candles, and then just add the cinnamon and oatmeal mixture. so far it's turning out very nicely.. and it smells so good. i've been wanting to start up my own little soap business, but don't really have the money to do it. but now i'm rambling.. i just wanted to share my soap making with you all :)
