May. 9th, 2005 11:03 pmso i have a question for you all.
i have several old antique windows i picked up, and have several cool ideas for what to do with them, but the thing is i do not want to keep the original glass in the windows. i'd like to knock out the glass, but put something that's "glass"-like in place of the glass, so if i were to hang them, and they fell, glass wouldn't shatter everywhere, and they'd be a lot lighter to hang.
question is, i have no idea what kind of material exists for that sort of stuff. i went into home depot into the window department and asked if they had any ideas, and they had absolutely none to give me. so, i'm turning to you guys!
help!
