So I saw all the pop tab bracelets that people were making and decided that while I didn't want a bracelet I did need a new purse. So now, two months later, I have enough tabs for one side (154) and have started wiring them together, but I've run into a problem. I have two rows of 18 made (there will be 9 total) the tabs are side by side wired through both holes and that works great, but when I try to wire the two rows I together I have problems.

Sorry for the crappy illustration, my sister lost her digital camera, Also ignore the red lines on the bottom row I forgot to fix them after I moved the individual tabs.

So the first is an example of a separate row looking all awesome. The red lines indicate the wire, which is wrapped twice around and twisted in the back.
The second is two rows; the blue lines are the wire, which are wrapped in the same way. The problem is that no matter how tightly I wrap it is too loose and the tabs slide around and overlap the other row, also the wire slides to the side and looks horrible. I think this is because the bottoms of the tabs are bigger than the top, but I still have no idea how to fix it.

I know it isn’t much to go on, but if anyone has ideas they would be appreciated. I’m going to work on making the rest of the rows before wiring anymore together so it is not an immediate problem
