[identity profile] prophetspyder.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
First things first, I have (well, will after I type this post)made [livejournal.com profile] pmthreads a mod to help me with all the posts (did you know that we usually have at least 20 posts a day, often up to 40?), and to keep the memories updated. I see her comment and post alot, and am excited to get a chance to organize this community with her. I have a couple other mods in mind, but neither have answered so far. *edit* The ever fabulous [livejournal.com profile] themoonfell has also agreed to help me, and she is a mod over at [livejournal.com profile] _stencilry, and, I think, [livejournal.com profile] nonuglyfats, so please welcome these 2 incredibly talented crafty ladies.

Now, regarding a recent post or two, I want to remind everyone that [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl is an open forum that is here to not only support each other craft-wise, but also on the "grrl" side. If you are easily offended by vagina- or sex-related crafts, this may not be the community for you. LJ-cuts for "not safe for work" (NSFW) items are requested, but I am not going to censor icons UNLESS I or other craftgrrls are in danger of being arrested just for viewing them - ie: picture of a naked woman/Kerry/frogs humping = A-OK, picture of a man molesting a child = NOT OK as this is pediophilia. That said, here are LJ's rules on icons; follow these and you should be alright. If you are still worried about icons, you can modify your journal so that whenever anyone posts to [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl, you will see our icon instead of their personal one.

If, even after all this, you have a problem with someone's post or icon, please contact me or another mod before going to LJ-abuse - we are all friends here, so let's act like adults.

Please remember these guidelines for posting:
- lj-cut any large pictures/more than 1 or 2 small pictures
- tell us how you did it! We're here to learn from each other
- before posting a question, ALWAYS check the memories, Google (stick "DIY" in your search to make it easier), or even the Google bar on our info page (it is very picky, though, so good luck)
- if you put what your post is about in your topic, then it is easier to find in our calendar(view subjects mode)
- always try and scan back at least a few pages before asking questions, and when asking, they MUST be specific - no "what do I make for...?", those are to be asked in [livejournal.com profile] crafty_gifts
- please either link (info on how to link here) or host photos yourselves - people have to pay for their bandwidth and stealing it isn't cool
- NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING. Take it to your own journal. Do not posts links to your own webpage (I usually let it slide if it is in the comments after somebody asks, but please do not just post a link to your page as an entry).

Failure to comply will have your post deleted. To edit posts, open your entry and click the blue pencil at the top. More info on editing here and here.
