Photo emulsion screen printing
May. 15th, 2005 12:44 pmOkie, I've read the memories and gleaned what I could from them, but I'm still not 100% on it. So... here's what I think I'm supposed to do. Tell me if I've got it right?
1.) Make the screen, stretched mesh on a fame, got it.
2.) Print design onto a transparency. (Are the areas I will want to be not blacked out/printed with the paint supposed to be the black areas, or is it the other areas?)
3.) Put photo emulsion on the screen, and sensitizer? (Some say it's necessary others don't?)
4.) Put the transparency on top of the screen. Expose under a bright light in a dark room for the trial-and-error determined amount of time. Rinse off, and now you have a nice screen made you can make prints with.
