craftgrrl | city of lost children inspired doll:

a friend asked me to make her a little doll based on miette (pictures)from city of lost children. so...well i did.

she is of course sculpey and wire and all hand painted. i hand-sewed her little jumper from red felt. i kinda made her legs up as i went along simply because i could not for the life of me remember what sort of shoes she actually wears in the movie. and well little mary-janes are much cuter anyways. miette is quite a bit smaller than most of my usual dolls, maybe 5 or 6 inches tall.

painting all those little tiny stripes really really sucked. by the way. also her skin is a few shades darker than i normally paint my dolls - just so the white of her shirt wouldnt blend in. this of course fails to show in pictures.
