Ideas please.

craftgrrlOk, being the anti-waster that I am, I need your guys' assistance.
I've been crocheting striped blankets recently. Each skein = one whole stripe. However, with each stripe, there's always a bit of yarn leftover. Anywhere from 5 feet to 10-12 feet. (yes, I am aware that I have a problem keeping my tension steady. lol.)
Anyways...I was just wondering if any of you had any ideas as to what I could do/make with these little leftovers pieces. I'm at a loss for ideas.
