Hi guys! you'd never guess what I'm learning to do!!!
ITs AMAZING!
ITs COOL!
ITS not as hard as I thought it would be.
This is SOO cool!

I know its a huge picture, so you can see all my interestingly bad technique, but I've only been doing this for about 3 and a half hours...
the story goes something like this...
I went to the quazi local AC Moore, and saw this girl demo-ing something on what I now know to be as circular needles... which I thought was pretty faboo... so, then I went into the knitting/crocheting aisle, and looked at all the instructional kits (mind you, I had alterior motives while working on this) and, I purchased this really neat kit from KLUTZ.... one of my favorite companies... anywhoo... this kit included a book (chock full of instruction and 6 Great Patterns... a cell phone sock, scarf, pocket purse, sunglass case, Purse, HAT...)
anywhoodles, I go and bring this stuff to my boyfriends house... and, I attempt to start this while sitting on his bed, I wind the yarn into a ball.. (I crochet alot... I can do it one person, I use my feet. Its an interesting technique) and attempt to cast on....
An hour later....
(no picture due to the ugglyneess of this attempt..... imagine blue pasta, overcooked and tangled, hanging limply from a poor, overworked slip knot.)
then.... I get frustrated and decide to chill and watch our DVD of South Park's 5th season... wow.... it was well.... gone to Shit. lol.
next, I go home, and,set myself up on my dining room table. My mom was on my computer sitting playing some sort of wierd game... I attempted to cast on, and saw the anxious glance of my mom peering up above the monitor.... (imagine, killroy looking over the screen.) then.... with a sort of sigh, she said 'wait... hang on, hold up... I'll show you how to do that. and, then....
she shows me how to cast on with one hand. quickly. easily, evenly and efficiently.... my evil alterior motive snapped into place... then, she showed me with the books pictures, and about 10 minutes of help... I'm knitting like a really slow... spaztic knitter... but look... I'm making a totally unusable highly meltable hot pot holder. (Personally, I use blue surgical towels... they're cheap and way efficient.
Mom laughed at me... but that's cool. anywhoo... tomorrow, we purl. yay.
Signing off......
