May. 29th, 2005 12:55 pmI had some leftover recycled silk yarn after making that one bag from Knitty a really long time ago, so I decided to make something with it.

I started off just knitting vertically in garter stitch. Then I took some black fabric I had and ironed some interfacing onto it, sewed the extra black fabric over the interfacing so it would have a nice seam on both sides, and then sewed all that to the knitting. I stole a belt buckle from a belt I never wear, attached it inbetween a flap in the belt, sewed the flap shut then poked some holes for the belt stick (?? I have no idea what its called, but you know, the thing that goes into the holes) to go into and voila! A pretty belt.
