this year i've decided to make customised journals for my friends.
basically, i took a few hardback notebooks, like pretty good quality ones with nice paper inside and i chose different coloured card for each person and covered the front and back of the book with it. it might also be nice to upholster the books with a pretty fabric.
anyway. i chose to go along with a kitsch and cute theme. i used those cardboars dress up doll thingies (i found mine in a local art shop) and i used the cut out dresses and things to put on the front. i also splashed out on some really beautiful stick on letters so i could put initials on the front of the journal. i think it's a really cute idea, a lot more personal than a cd or something :) and you can basically let yr imagination run wild.
