I made a John Howard voodoo doll!





John Howard is the Australian Prime Minister. He's known for his glasses, eyebrows and worried expression - see here and here, and a nice one of him here at APEC going the grope with his best mate George. (An uncanny resemblance to Mr Garrison from South Park has also been widely noted.)

I thought about making a green and yellow tracksuit (a la this photo) but I didn't want to waste all my felt on him. Having a naked John Howard on my desk was kind of freaking me out though, so I gave him a green scrap as a loincloth.


Then all the kids wanted a John Howard voodoo doll of their very own, so I made some more.


Here's a whole posse? phalanx? ::insert appropriate collective noun here:: of little felt John Howards, looking rather gingerbread man-y.


The ones on the far right look especially scary! (tee hee...)


And here's my cat, Simon. He likes to grab John Howard with his claws and carry him around in his mouth. I would be only too happy to encourage this behaviour except that I worry that he'll swallow one of the googly eyes.
