what's better than making bags out of old pairs of pants? really, so easy but so ultra-cool! my roommate had given me a pair of grey cords that she had picked up at a thrift store last year so after having them in my scraps bin for over a year, i thought i'd make her a purse for her birthday! because what shows that you care and are broke better than a handmade present!?!








the lining was cut from a vintage felt shirt that i got at aardvard's years ago and i stitched a satin ribbon along the center of the strap. haha, i have a fixation with touching things with fun feeling to it, like satin and velvet, so i thought i'd nurse the tendency in my roommate as well.

the fly still unzips (though it would just open to the inside of the lining and the front and back pockets can be used as well.


oh! and just because i was amazed that i could do this and hair styling is kind of a craft, right? . . .sorry the pics a little hard to see. . .
