(no subject)

My first "post" in here...:) I just discovered this community yesterday. I can crochet, I've just taught myself to knit (I'm in the process of a tote...pictures to come!)
I have a ton of old buttons, trims, zippers, fabric ect that were passed along to my mom. They had been her grandmother's (when my mom was a girl, her gmom made her dresses out of some of this fabric!).

Just a few of the buttons...


Yesterday, I took this bag that I bought for $2.50 at the local flea market.



and with a little bit of pink trim and some buttons...I came up with this:

(sorry the pics are dark...the lighting in the room isn't that great.)



I was happy with how it came out.
I'm actually getting ready to try to sew a makeup bag. We'll see how that comes out, ha.
