I've made paper many times before but this was my first time trying to make a paper bowl. It all started out fine...




As usual Cat decided she needed to help...




First mistake (although I didn't realize it yet and it shouldn't have been): I used fabric dye to make my paper purple




Then BAM! My blender explodes. Apparently the lid wasn't on tight enough.


I think to myself "No big deal. At least the pulp came out ok"




A few minutes later I try to clean off the counter. It's permanently stains purple! :(


Oh well, I keep making my bowl.


Well, I feel dumb. The bowl I used as a mold gets narrower at the top so it's impossible for me to remove the paper bowl off of my real bowl.


After all that I'm left with nothing more than paper scraps to use in my next attempt.


I'm sure this is one of those things that will really really funny in a week or so but right now it's just frustrating. *sigh*
