005: fleece help

So I purchased the last few yards of fleece on a roll from Joann's. It's all crinkly on the end. Would washing it help? Er... do I wash it in cold water? What about drying? Fleece shouldn't be ironed right?

Do y'all usually wash your fabrics before making stuff with them?
