Teddy bear bag

So today I was having a clear out and just looking for some of my holiday clothes in the towel cupboard when I found an old night shirt with a teddy bear print...and what was left of my old brown school cords.So I sat down and decided to make a bag from them.I used the teddy bear print as lining..well that was untill I accidently sewed one of the panels on the wrong way.But it worked out ok in the end as i used it as the front panel..





I made the pattern up myself it was fairly simply..I used to bigger panels abour 18x13cm's for the front and back.Then made 3 other peices to make the sides and bottem around 7cm in width.I wasnt sure if I was going to use a zip but i decided on making a flap so I made a flap.I also found some pink ribbon this morning and decided to use that as the strap.Need to put a press stud on it after.
My sewing machine skills are not great,you can tell when you look at the bag up close..but practice makes perfect and its big enough to hold my phone,iPod mini and purse which is what I wanted :)
