Finally! Not monsters!
Jun. 16th, 2005 02:55 pmQ hook. 2DC, 1SC. Then in then next row you do the 2DC in the SC from the last row. Like a straight granny square. For being such an open stitch, it's surprisingly warm. This may be because I used wool, but it's only 25% wool. I think it's called Encore yarn? I stole it from my mother's stash. It's a little too short for my liking, but that's okay.
This one is PLENTY long. It's about 8 ft long (this is a guess. I know I'm 5 ft tall, so I held it up to me and it was the length of about one and a half of me). It's quadruple stranded, all thin weighted yarn. It's disgustingly soft, though I have no clue on the fiber content (it was also stolen from my mom, and she threw the labels away after she failed at knitting a scarf with it). It's soooo warm and cozy. Now I can't wait for winter, but I live in Florida. And it'll be at least 5 more months before I can even think about scarves.

I also have found this use for my scrap yarns! Easy little flowers about 2 inches wide glued via hot glue to bobby pins. I love them, even though I don't wear flowers in my hair. I've also hotglued some to pin backings since I took this picture.
