My library bag!
Jun. 22nd, 2005 09:24 amOk, I finally finished this on Monday. I needed something smaller than my backpack to take my library books around in. Of course, I didn't have any kind of pattern, and frankly, didn't really try to make one. I just cut things until they looked close enough. ;)
Anyway, here it is. Made from my favorite pair of jeans that was no longer wearable and some leftover fabric I had laying around.

Warning: Picture heavy :)

Me, wearing the bag (please excuse my lovely hair.)

Some pictures of just the bag:

The inside of the bag:
I used one of the pockets from the front of my jeans to make a nice deep pocket in my bag. On the opposite side there are 2 larger pockets and a pocket for my water bottle that pulls in with an orange ribbon. There are also loops for my keys and sunglasses and a pocket for my phone :)

The outside pockets:
I know they're wonky, but I didn't want them showing under the flap.

And finally, some closeups of the details:
I bought the flower pin at Joann's.

Aaaaand the buckle. I stole it from an old bag. It was rusty and a weird color, so I sanded it and painted it with my favorite pink nailpolish!
