this was a special project that the whole art department took part in. we had the word "knots" then we spun a wheel and got another word (mine was "growth"), last we got to choose a word from a list (i chose "plants"). this is what was created with "knots," "plants" and "growth."
it is an upside down mold of a bowl and then leaves were added and then holes were cut out for the lights to come through. the leaves were glazed with at least 4 glazes (if my memory serves me correctly i believe they were: chirstmas tree green, antique green, leaf green, and a blue turquoise that was much greener on the sample tile, but i still like it) it didn't turn out with exactly what i had in mind but i still love it! there are little, colored wire knots tied through the holes for the "knots."

this bowl was made by slab-drape on a plater mold. then was glazed with a crackle glaze that didn't turn out correctly, but still has a semi-crakle with just the clear glaze, which is how the glaze turned out.
