I told my mother I would make her a bag to put all her magazines and notepads and pens and such in when she comes over to babysit her grandbean...and I finally got around to it. Pretty basic stuff, but I like the fabric.
The edges are done in vintage bias tape. The bottom corners are expanded so it isn't just two rectangles sewn together. Lined in brown corduroy. Not shown: internal stripey pen pocket.
