Jun. 28th, 2005 01:46 amHi everybody! I just have a question. I'm thinking of branching out craft-wise and trying some papercrafts. I had an idea to take pictures of places around town and make them into pretty notecards...maybe doing it for different cities? This may have been done before...I do that sometimes, where I come up with an idea that turns out to be completely unoriginal. ;)
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys knew anything about copyright stuff. I poked through the memories on copyright and didn't really find an answer to my question. Let's say I take a picture of a local pizza joint (which should be a national monument because it's so #($* good!). Is that photograph my property? Or do I have to have permission of the owners of the pizza joint to reproduce it?
It may seem silly, but our society is *so* litigious nowadays. It's probably pretty arrogant to think that a business would bother with a tiny in-house craft business, but you never know! I just want to make sure I wouldn't be doing something that could get me in trouble. :)
Anywho, thanks for your help everyone!
