I've been buying up thrift store purses galore lately and making them over, and this is one of my faves. Isn't she a darling? Le sigh indeed. The jewels around her neck and the dress-like looking straps were actually part of the purse originally...I saw it and it just looked like it needed a person painted in!

This purple felt clutch features a barage of buttons and ribbon and a cute cotton lining with different dresses and shoes as decoration. Very bright and very girlie, and not too clumsy-looking for being entirely handsewn, I think. I like it :)

This little handsewn number is my latest work, and I adore it! My mom gave me a box full of her old fabrics the other day, and I found this great greyish/light blue denim and the plaid as well, and this is what their union created :) The lining is the same plaid as the heart and straps, and I used white acrylic paint for the x and o/heart outline. This picture isn't that great, but I'm really proud of this bag...I think it's one of my better handsewn creations...Very sturdy, very cute, though far from perfect (such is the charm/downfall of not owning a sewing machine, I suppose).

And finally, the seashell necklace. I found a ton of great seashells at the beach this year, and so many of them already had holes at the top, like they were born ready to be necklaces ;) This is the first necklace I've made from one so far, and though it's just made from simple pink, green and blue gem-like and seed beads, I'm quite fond of it.
Comments/critique welcome :) Thanks for looking!
