i went into this store today called "Home Fabrics" - and I was just going to look around because it was huge rolls of fabric for furniture and curtains... but they had some cotton prints in the back and i found some sale and clearance items in the back - i was able to buy about 5-6 yards of different fabrics for around $5 - i am going to try and make me a bag to carry my school books in - i have been quite inspired by all the great projects -- i really haven't sewed anything in a very long time -- and even then i didn't do much -- plus i don't have a patern but i have a bag that i bought at old navy last year and i am going to make my new bag a little bit bigger and with a longer strap/handle to carry it

i also have tons of beads that i want to make into jewelry - so i cheated and got finding from walmart - it is the silver "wire" with a clasp already connected at the end - i figured i would start out simple - see how i did -- and then i will try to buy wire and bend it to make the designs i have seen


i don't have a digi cam but i do have a cam on my cell phone - i will take some before pics and then during and after shots when i start working on my stuff -- i have been having cell phone problems - so i will post them when i can...

i just wanted to say thanks for all the ideas -- and you girls are really great at helping out, answering questions and offering advice -- i can't wait to get started on my projects

(school starts in a month - so i should be able to make my school bag by then - i hope)
