Embroidery Floss Organizers

I'm turning to all you crafters out there for some help. This morning at a small flea market, I bought tons of DMC embroidery floss (I'm thinking it's all the colors) for $15. And they are already wound on the little cards. My problem is organizing them. I really don't want to go buy a bunch of those plastic boxes like they sell at Joanne's and everywhere else. I was hoping someone would have a clever/cheap idea for storing these in numerical order. Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.
