crafty failures
Jul. 28th, 2005 10:30 pmI got so frustrated with my first batch of resin pendants I threw them into a closet for about half a year. This is how they turned out. I just used little trinkets to try it out for the first time and poured the resin in around the trinkets. I used different kinds of ice cube trays to make them. But I hate their shape.
That and they came out a little sticky. Even after sitting there for months they're still tacky to the touch. Did I not use enough catalyst?
Can anyone refer me to where I can get proper molds for pouring resin?
I'm embarrassed to say that these were the best ones that turned out. And even these are pathetic. The large ones are quite...cloudy. And if you use your fingernail, the resin scrapes off a bit. It's gummy. :\
