washing felt

I have a feeling that I know the answer to this question, but I'm looking for verification:

Will felt colors run if they get wet? I want to do some homemade felt appliques on a plain t-shirt, but I feel like they won't be washable. In which case, would using a home dry cleaning kit (such as Dryel) probably work fine?
