Yarn and fabric up for trade?
Dec. 22nd, 2002 01:37 pmHi everyone. Would anyone like to trade me just about anything for a skein of rainbow-colored variegated (sp?) yarn or 1/2 a yard of camouflage fabric?

This skein is *not* brand new. I used a small amount of it as knitting practice; however, you can tell from the picture that there's still a good amount of yarn left. I'll never use this stuff so I might as well give it to someone who will.

This is half a yard of camo fabric. It was for a project that never came to be. I'm not exactly sure WHAT kind of fabric it is, but it feels synthetic-ish.
If you're interested in either or both of these things, lemme know what you'd like to trade. I'll take other colors of yarn, other fabric, soap molds (maybe, if they're cool ;)), or...basically, tell me what you have and I'll tell you if I'm interested. :)
Also, here's a picture of a crafty project I did over the summer.

This is the best picture I could get. I tried to get the whole curtain but because of the lighting it looked awful. Anyway, the thing with the Japanese writing is just a thingy I made at a museum at an "interactive exhibit" thing..the ruffle was made by my mom (yay, go her - and it matches my comforter, which you can see in the yarn pic) but the curtain..I did that. :) I bought an old, dirty, off-white curtain from a garage sale for like 50 cents and tie-dyed it blue with Procion dye. I think it turned out really well, and you can't tell this from the picture but the light shines in through that window and makes it look really fluffy and airy. I love it!
And lastly- an update on my tie skirt: I e-mailed one of the ebay sellers who had a lot of ties up for auction and asked her if she had some non-yuck colors (well, actually, I asked for light colors and earthtones) and yay! She put up an auction with lighter ties and earthtones...so now I *must* win this one ;)
