quick question, i've seen some people make this scarf on this community so I was hoping someone could clarify a question I have.

I am going to crochet it, how do I start. Do I first make a super long chain...well, make a chain as long as I want the scarf to be, then do I just single crochet along the chain and change color whenever I feel like it? I guess my main question is, how do I start it? crochet seems easier
