Straightening wire?

So you buy 10 ft of wire at the hardware store, and they loop it several times for you so you can get it home.

Any ideas on making it fairly straight and kink-free? (I'm thinking that this might be a fruitless request)

EDIT: I do need the full 10 feet straightened, and can't cut it up, unfortunately...
