Craft fair newbie needs advice!
Aug. 14th, 2005 08:05 pmI'll be participating in my very first craft fair in a few months.
I'd love to get your advice on what to expect.
My main concerns are:
How much of a mark-up should I put on my stuff?
Should I stick to one or two types of items, or have a bigger assortment? (right now I've got about 5 different things i plan on making)
What sells well, what doesn't sell at all?
But any and all tips would be greatly appreicated.
Also, I was planning on giving out business cards with purchases in case people wanted to contact me about buying stuff later on, or about commissioning stuff. I wish I had a website to put on my card, but all I can put for now is my email address and phone number. Is that a good idea, or even worth it?
And so this isn't text only, here's one of the items I'm making for the fair:
