are there any sewing books anyone can recommend for someone wanting to teach themselves? preferably i'd like one that has how-to's for hand-sewing & machine sewing.
& just so this isn't a text only post -


i used random green yarn that my granny-in law gave me & instead of the pom-poms, i opted for the devil tail. i thought i would hate knitting in the round but it is so fun :)
