Aug. 21st, 2005 05:52 pmAnother question for you guys:
I have painted a number of wine glasses to give as a gift. I always use acrylics because I am an amateur and they are easy and cheap. However, last time I painted glasses, I sealed them with a craft sealer/gloss that is toxic enough in spray-form that I am not sure anyone would want to try drinking out of the glasses covered in them. This next batch are very special and I REALLY want my boyfriend to be able to actually *use* his glasses. So what kind of sealer might I be able to get that won't poison him? Even better, is it really bad to use stemware I sealed in your regular craft sealer? The whole "this stuff is declared carcinogenic to the state of California" has got me a little apprehensive.
Thanks SO much for any and all help!
