The other scarf I am doing is progressing nicely, despite the fact that it started to give me blisters on my left thumb (I'm a continental knitter, and it's that awful rough yarn). So as a nice change up, I bought the yarn for my mom's scarf today and a brand new pair of size 15 bamboo needles. I now understand why everyone goes into such raptures about bamboo needles. They are so soft! It's like knitting with silk!



this is a few hours work on Momma's. It's coming together really fast.

I had a lady at Michael's teach me how to purl today, but I'm going to finish my two garter scarves first and get more adventurous from there. The next one I tackle will be the "ribbed for her pleasure" scarf from Stitch and Bitch.
